Meglio pittura lavabile o traspirante?

Frequently Asked Questions

How to recognize if a paint is washable?

Washable paints are distinguished from tempera because they do not release dust to the touch. Washability classes (from 1 to 5 according to the UNI EN 13300 standard) determine the level of resistance to washing, but they are not distinguishable to the naked eye: it is the manufacturer who certifies them.

How do you clean the walls?

For ordinary maintenance, a soft cloth moistened with water and neutral soap is sufficient. Avoid abrasive sponges that could damage the surface film.

How is it removed from the walls?

Removal requires sanding or the application of specific paint stripping products. In case of renovation, it is recommended to apply a smoothing primer before repainting.

How is it diluted?

Generally with water (5-10% depending on the product). Always follow the instructions on the technical data sheet for optimal performance.

How is it disposed of?

It must be disposed of as non-hazardous special waste. Do not pour into sinks or pipes: contact authorized collection centers.

Washable or breathable paint: which one to choose?

Washable Paint: ideal for environments subject to dirt and the need for frequent cleaning (kitchens, bathrooms, living areas).
Breathable Paint: perfect for environments subject to condensation and humidity (attics, cellars, poorly ventilated rooms).

IVC offers both solutions, even combined (washable breathable), to guarantee tailor-made application cycles.
